Nail and Spa Artists and Technicians are responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall beauty and health of clients' nails. Their responsibilities include:

- **Maintaining a clean and safe environment**: Technicians are responsible for keeping the salon or spa organized, clean, and sanitary to ensure a positive and relaxing experience for clients.
- **Promoting nail care products**: Technicians should engage in activities that foster repeat patronage by recommending and promoting nail care products to clients.
- **Customer service**: This involves welcoming clients, answering inquiries, and ensuring that waivers or consent forms are signed by clients.
- **Health and safety**: Technicians must adhere to health and safety regulations and follow strict safety protocols when working with chemicals.
- **Consultation and advice**: Technicians should consult with clients to check for any signs of skin problems, deformities, or nail disease before treatment. They also counsel clients on how to take proper care of their hands and nails.
- **Light physical work**: Technicians may be required to do light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move light objects. They may also be required to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
