Supervisor

Mint Smartwash (Mint) is a technologically advanced express tunnel car wash. Mint is currently seeking applicants to join our team of Shine Geniuses at the new car wash in Red Deer, AB. Mint is a fast paced, rewarding work environment, with a key focus on safety, efficiency, and providing a top-quality level of service to all customers.

As a Supervisor, you will use your knowledge and experience to take great care of our customers. This will include selling Mint memberships, helping customers with questions, loading cars and facility upkeep.

**REPORTING**
Reports directly to General Manager, takes direction from Assistant Managers.

**Why does this role exist?** To support the General Manager and Assistant Manager's in ensuring that we provide consistent high quality customer service in all aspects of the business. Guiding and supporting the Trainees, Sales and Ops Geniuses to ensure they can execute their roles. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Customer Service**:

- Coach and mentor all employees to greet customers with a smile and provide superior customer service.
- Embody professionalism with colleagues and customers. Wear the Mint uniform and take pride in its appearance.
- Represent Mint Smartwash in the community in a positive manner.
- Guide and mentor new employees to become successful supervisors.

**Membership and Wash Sales**:

- Mentor and coach Sales Geniuses on their sales pitch and customer service.
- Coach Trainees and Sales Geniuses on product knowledge.
- Work with the Assistant Managers to motivate the sales team.
- Work with Assistant Managers on executing promotions and developing sales games.

**Tunnel Operations**:

- Develop in depth knowledge of the wash equipment, and how each component is supposed to operate.
- Manage the tunnel, this includes monitoring no pile-ups ensuring the tunnel is staffed at all times that a vehicle is going through the wash.
- Manage opening and closing shifts including key holding responsibilities.
- Work with the team to improve wash quality.
- Work with the team to ensure we meet uptime targets for the wash.
- Become an expert in the payment terminals and POS control software including trouble shooting issues

**Safety Performance**:

- Bring forward safety concerns to your manager and log them as Hazard ID's in Mint Ops.
- Supervise and mentor junior employees on the safety program.
- Complete, understand and put into action the required safety training.
- Be an active participant in safety meetings and ERP drills.

**Facility Upkeep**:

- Own the daily tasks that keep the office, pay stations, tunnel, mat wash room, vacuum lot and entire site looking Mint.
- Ensure all tasks in Mint Operations Software are being completed, provide training to junior staff when required.
- Actively look for ways to improve the cleanliness or appearance of the facility.

**Professional Development**:

- Develop leadership skills to be able to progress to an Assistant Manager position.
- Work through the competency-based training program to develop the skills required for the next role.
- Ensure junior employees are progressing through their competency-based training program, by providing support and guidance.

**What you bring**:

- Excellent people skills
- Valid driver’s license or ability to get to and from work
- Availability to work between the hours of 6am and 9pm, as scheduled
- Previous sales or customer service experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Good computer skills

**Salary**: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
