In this position you will provide Corporate geospatial data fusion, geospatial analysis and geospatial support. You will be responsible to provide dedicated GIS support to the Calgary Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) and CEMA partners (internal and external partners) in enabling the Municipal Emergency Plan (MEP), to understand their business problems and challenges and then deliver the required geospatial products and services. Primary duties include:

- Provide geospatial advice and analysis in support of the preparedness and activation of the Municipal Emergency Plan (MEP) and the Corporation.
- Develop and execute Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis and solutions for the Corporation, and integration in the Common Operating Picture (COP).
- Use Geospatial technologies to assess and evaluate multiple solution options for CEMA and CEMA partners in support of the MEP.
- Identify, create, integrate and maintain geospatial data to support Client and Corporate projects and solutions.
- Evaluate, consolidate and analyze business data to produce a wide variety of geospatial solutions (for example data fusions, GIS maps, and real time data inputs ).
- Research geospatial technologies and identify/implement relevant industry trends and best practices.
- Work alongside CEMA and CEMA partners, provide 24x7 on-call support, and be called upon first to be present at all Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) exercises and emergency events.
- Travel and assignment to other locations throughout the City of Calgary when required.

**Qualifications**
- A related degree (for example GIS, Geography, Emergency Response Planning) plus at least 5 years of related experience.
- Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits, no current suspensions or charges pending.
- Excellent project management, consulting, analysis, facilitation, public speaking, stress management, communication and leadership skills.
