**Duties**:

- Oversee the safety management of multiple construction projects located throughout the Lower Mainland, most located in the Surrey City Centre area.
- Direct the implementation of all requirements for the COR Certification process
- Liaise with CSO's and Site Superintendents on health and safety-related matters
- Work alongside Project Team to maintain the current Safety Program including hazard analysis, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) procedures, guidelines, templates, etc.
- Attend and co-host regular safety meetings on project sites when required
- Inspect power tools and heavy equipment to ensure that all machines, tools and equipment are in a safe operating condition, and that all work area are free of safety and environmental hazards. Take necessary and immediate corrective actions, where feasible, to eliminate all unsafe acts and/or conditions.
- Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation training
- Ensure sites are in compliance with current Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Company safety rules
- Educate and guide CSO's and Site Superintendents on safety best practices, OHS legislation and site-specific safety related matters
- Coach and guide management team, employees and subcontractors to ensure unsafe conditions are rectified
- Assist CSO's and Site Superintendents with direction for the completion of all required paperwork in a timely fashion
- Ensure all sites maintain subcontractor and MSDS documentation
- Be up to date on all activities at site operations; provide a positive safety role model and support
- Facilitate and participate in site inspections and implement corrective action as required
- Oversee the follow-up with injured workers as necessary
- Review site documentation and records for all injuries/illnesses in the First Aid Record Book
- Review documentation for site safety records on the site (investigations, near misses, incidents)
- Work with CSO's to review and submit all paperwork relating to safety infractions, incident/investigation reports, WorkSafe Inspection Reports to Head Office and Project Manager in a timely manner

**Requirements**:

- Certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or (NCSO) designation
- Strong understanding of the COR program policy, standards & guidelines
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety considered an asset
- Additional training including Fall Protection, Rescue/Confined spaces, WHMIS, Bobcat/mobile equipment operation an asset.
- 10+ years Health and Safety experience
- 5+ years experience managing Health and Safety of multiple multifamily project sites (high and midrise experience required)
- Occupational First Aid Level III (OFA 3) preferred
- Proficient knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, policies, guidelines and standards
- Proactive in identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures
- Excellent Sound interpersonal (written/verbal) skills with the ability to handle high pressure situations in a professional manner
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to commute within the Lower Mainland
- Own vehicle with class 5 BC Drivers License and clean abstract, company vehicle may be supplied for work use

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
