**Schedule: Thursday - Sunday (Subject to Change as per Operational Needs)**

**Location: Thunder Bay Sawmill**

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position will ensure compliance of the organization’s health & safety program, environmental management system and all aspects of an efficient and productive operation. This position will manage all personnel and day to day business activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all aspects of the operation during the weekend shifts for **ALL** Dallan Sites
- Act as the primary contact person for the customer during the weekend
- Responsible for weekend staffing issues, i.e., covering shifts created by last-minute absences
- Complete Incident Reports (Safety and Environment) when required
- Communicate with the customer in the event of a site emergency, fire, or evacuation.
- Remove an employee from risk if deemed unfit for work
- Delegate assignments to crew members and manage day-to-day operating requirements.
- Communicate with employees leaving the site and document when required.
- Complete documentation and reports/audits

**Background**:

- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous working experience with heavy equipment, forestry operations, and/ or an industrial environment is an asset
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Forestry, Operations Management, Heavy Equipment Operation/ Maintenance or similar will be considered an asset
- Any combination of the above

**Requirements**:

- Committed to health & safety and the environment
- Motivated and excellent work ethic
- Must be able problem solve with ability to multi-task
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid G-Driver’s license

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
