Full Job Description:
**Ground Operations Supervisor **will be responsible for the direction, supervision, and development of various ongoing programs at Wisk Air Helicopters.

We are seeking to recruit a responsible, energetic, and detail-oriented person to assist in maintaining hangar facilities, crew houses, vehicles, helicopter sling gear, and planning delivery of fuel in of support day to day helicopter operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work around helicopters to support ground operations;
- Ability to operate machinery, front end load, tractor, truck & trailers, etc;
- Building/Hangar maintenance and repairs (painting, fixing items, etc);
- Maintenance of helicopter ground equipment, helicopter tugs, ground handling wheels, etc;
- Develop, maintain, and operate helicopter fueling systems and fuel trailers;
- Maintain and fix helicopter operations gear: cargo hooks, heli-torch, heli-claw, etc;
- Manage low-time pilot apprentices to assist in various tasks around the hangar;
- Develop and maintain a driver training program for CVOR vehicles;
- Manage and maintain crew house facilities in Thunder Bay, Red Lake, and Pickle Lake;
- Maintain and organize a workshop, known as the “Matrix Hangar” for non-helicopter maintenance and other projects;
- Microsoft Office Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook;
- Organize repairs for hangar and crew houses with company-approved contractors;
- Snow removal/grass cutting as required on and off airport property;
- Communicate with Operations Manager day to day activities and follow up on job completion;
- Helicopter rigger and re-fueler as required;
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Plan and conduct fuel runs with CVOR truck and trailer combo as required;
- Carpentry, pipefitting, and welding skills are considered an asset;
- Overhead rigging and fall arrest training are considered an asset;
- Chainsaw experience and knowledge of helipad construction are considered an asset
- Experience driving on dirt roads and working remotely is an asset;

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
