**Role Responsibilities**:
We are looking to hire a self-motivated Area Maintenance Supervisor with a desire to work in the mountainous environment of Kananaskis. This is a key front-line role that will work with a diverse team to provide operations support within the Kananaskis Region, primarily in Kananaskis Country, but with assigned responsibilities throughout the Kananaskis Region.
- As the Kananaskis West Area Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
- Under the direction of the Regional Team Lead, develop and maintain appropriate asset documentation and preventative maintenance procedures for implementation and refinement within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the Kananaskis Region in conjunction with provincial guidance
- Maintain and oversee Parks infrastructure in accordance with relevant standards and regulations to ensure its safe and efficient operation, by performing analysis, troubleshooting, repair and contractor coordination where required, for assets such as building HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
- Manage assigned service contracts to ensure effective and efficient service delivery as well as adherence to all contact terms and conditions
- Ensure regulatory maintenance is performed and documented with all appropriate OH&S guidelines adhered to

**Qualifications**:
Education and Experience:
Two-year Diploma in a technical field or Interprovincial (Red Seal) Trade Certification in a trade such as electrical, HVAC, or similar technical trade and two years of related experience.
Equivalencies:
Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education
Additional Requirements:
- Class 5 Driver’s License is also required
- 3 year Driver’s abstract required
Assets:
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex assets such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems
- Asset management knowledge, particularly related to maintenance work order systems, ideally related to development and maintaining
- Knowledge of building envelopes, and municipal utilities
- Understanding of Project Management Fundamentals
- Willingness to work outdoors, ability to travel safely in mountainous weather, potentially including during times of inclement weather
- Experience in supervision of staff and contractors
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of Alberta Building, and Fire codes, and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations

This position is a full-time, 40 hours, 5 days per week role, ideally based out of Cochrane, Alberta.
Other locations within the Kananaskis Region may be considered.
