**Euclid Farms FLORIST Job Description**

**OVERVIEW**:A floral apprentice contributes to driving sales through providing service to customers in a knowledgeable and authentic way by creating custom and pre-designed fresh and dried bouquets, arrangements, cloches, and small installations.

**CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT**:
1. Initiates conversation and shares product knowledge in an authentic, personalized way with every customer who walks through the door. Prioritizes customer engagement even when working on other tasks.

2. Acts as a brand ambassador who represents Euclid Farms in a respectful and appropriate manner, both on and off the sales floor.

3. Accurately records transactions, refunds, and exchanges on the POS without error.
4. Confidently assists customers to create small fresh and dried bouquets and arrangements.
5. Packages all orders and purchases to the Euclid Farms’ standard and ensures accuracy of all courier pickups.
7. Confidently directs any customer issues or complaints to the Store Manager or Owner.

**TEAMWORK**:
1. Contributes to the overall positivity of the store environment by being helpful and respectful to others.
2. Acts as a team player when interacting with peers and management, by sharing ideas and engaging with the team.
3. Shows a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and pace throughout the day.
4. Respects the time of others and arrives punctually for all shifts.
5. Offers some flexibility with scheduling in advance in order to help out other team members on occasion.
6. Acts as a mentor to sales associates and trains team members on proper floral care and floral product knowledge.

**VISUAL SUPPORT**:
1. Supports the processing of all deliveries in a clean, timely, correct and efficient manner.
2. Contributes to the maintenance of a clean and organized sales floor and back rooms through the completion of daily cleaning checklists.
3. Manages the maintenance and replenishment of the sales floor throughout the day while always prioritizing customer needs first.

4. Helps maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of the fridge, cooler and stock room on a daily basis.

5. Takes initiative to complete tasks throughout the store without being asked.

**FLORISTRY**:
1. Confidently creates all sizes of dried arrangements, all sizes of dried bouquets, dried floral cloches, installations or other work with dried florals within budget and to EF artistic standards

2. Confidently creates all sizes of fresh arrangements, all sizes of fresh bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and other small fresh floral wedding work all within budget and to EF artistic standards. Comfortable working on small and large style floral installations for weddings and events all within budget and to EF artistic standards.

3. Confident working and assisting customers to create their floral vision timely and on budget.

4. Effectively represents the Euclid Farms’ floral vision in all pieces created for customers, wholesalers, and displays. Brings any artistic customer requests within question to management before creating to make sure it fits within the EF artistic standard.

5. Shows an interest in floral design and is constantly open to learning new skills and design elements.

6. Continues to be open to new and changing styles and constructive criticism
7. Takes a leadership role in ensuring accuracy of fresh and dried flower deliveries.

**BUSINESS OPERATIONS**:
1. Adheres to all safety standards, inventory accuracy, and upholds all of Euclid Farms’ policies and procedures to support the success of the company.
2. Asks questions, listens to feedback and learns from mistakes to ensure they are corrected in the future.
3. Confidently records fresh and dried inventory when unboxing shipments, records discrepancies and brings to the attention of management
4. Corresponds with wholesalers when product arrives damaged with photos or brings to the attention of management in a timely manner
5. Shares pricing information with sales associates so they can accurately help customers and create within budget
