Head Florist

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Head Florist to lead our floral team. We are one of the top event floral design companies in Canada and want the perfect person to be a part of it. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, client service, and people management, with the ability to create beautiful arrangements that meet our level of design and taste. What we are looking for...

· Design Leadership: Create stunning floral arrangements for various events, including weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions, while setting creative standards for the design team.

· Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of florists and assistants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

· Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their floral needs, provide recommendations, and ensure that their vision is achieved.

· Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of floral projects, including budgeting, timelines, and logistics.

· Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to source high-quality flowers and materials at competitive prices.

· Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage costs while minimizing waste.

· Quality Control: Ensure that all floral designs meet the company's quality standards and are completed on time.

· Market Trends: Stay updated on floral design trends, techniques, and seasonal availability of flowers to bring innovative ideas and arrangements to the team.

· Event Setup: Lead the setup and breakdown of floral arrangements at events, ensuring the design is executed as planned.

· Time management: Ensuring that you manage the team effectively to complete tasks in a timely manner. Managing your time to be at work and ready as of the time you are scheduled to be able to manage the other employees.

· Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

· Forecast needs: for production and work with the team to effectively plan the work as needed.

We have built a dynamic and wonderful team over the past 18 years and are now looking to put the cherry on top with a new head florist/creative director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
