Performance Collision is looking for a **Repair Planner** to join their Dynamic Team

**Here’s what you’ll deliver**:

- Plan and oversee all repair plans
- Lead a team of dismantling technicians to fully dismantle, assess and document collision repairs.
- Prepare damage reports and obtain authorizations from both customers and insurance carriers.
- Responsible for researching manufacturer requirements.
- Request supplementary labour revenue from customers or appraisers.
- Maintain updates with insurance carriers during repairs.
- Assemble and send documents for final billing.
- Assist with Estimator when needed.
- Evaluate and check for necessity and cost of repairs.
- Utilize customer response, visual inspection, road tests and mechanical testing devices to determine automobile repair needs.
- Determine repair and labour costs in a comprehensible order.
- Assess the full extent of auto body damage through disassembly for repair.
- Effectively manage multiple repairs simultaneously.
- Collect insurance estimates after reviewing the extent of auto damage and resolve replacement and repair requirements.
- Draft work orders consisting of required repair services after approvals and enter the order into the work management system.
- Record and maintain repair details in auto body shop records. Ensure that all required documents for completed repairs are stored appropriately for final billing
- Upgrade job knowledge through manufacturer publications and educational opportunities.
- Complete required OEM training.
- Accept ownership to achieve challenging requests proactively and explore means to create job value thereby enhancing auto body shop reputation.
- Adherence to company safety standards at all times.
- Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures.
- Other duties as required by management.

**Here’s what you’ll need to succeed**:

- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 3-5 years experience in Automotive Estimating is required along with experience in disassembly
- Must excel in Mitchell Cloud Estimating and Qapter systems.
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
- Must have knowledge in manufacturer's’ repairs and refining processes.
- Ability to lead and teach a team of dismantling technicians.
- I-Car Platinum is an asset
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to navigate and utilize computers at an advanced level.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Must be team oriented, hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of mechanical repairs and terminology.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management.
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions as required.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule
