**Your Opportunity**:
VAW continues to grow and is looking for a **Shipper-Receiver-Assistant **to join our fast paced, safety focused, custom manufacturing facility. We have an opening on our Monday to Friday evening shift (4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.).

**Responsibilities**:

- Shipping, receiving, receiving inspection and final inspection duties
- Operate a forklift to load and unload products from trucks and to move materials within the shop
- Build pallets and crates for shipping
- Crate and package product in preparation for shipment
- Operate the overhead crane for material handling
- Perform final assembly of products
- Demonstrate safe operation of equipment
- Consistently demonstrate high level of productivity
- Consistently produce high quality work
- Demonstrate good merit (attitude, outlook, initiative, cooperation, etc.)
- Comply with the attendance criteria
- Demonstrate flexibility to willingly work efficiently in other areas
- Support Q.A. Program by conducting inspections to confirm conformance to requirements prior to releasing material or product from their area

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Ability to safely operate overhead crane and forklift
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, including a metric tape measure
- Safety focused
- Possess the skills and abilities to consistently produce high quality products and ensure quality control is maintained to the established standards
- Must be organized, flexible, proactive and interact in a positive and respectful manner with co-workers and drivers
- Knowledge of industrial/commercial fans, noise control and HVAC systems are assets
- Knowledge of Lean principles an asset

Wage: $20.89 to $24.73 per hour.

**Salary**: $20.89-$24.73 per hour
