The company sells and services many customer types including residential customers, multi-family communities, national and regional home builders, commercial & general contractors, and government agencies.

**Job Overview**:
The sales support position will primarily focus on administratively supporting the sales staff with a variety of tasks related to the sales process as well as many tasks related to the successful daily operation of the flooring store. Working closely with the Store Manager, this position will ensure the products sold and systems used are up to date. The secondary function is to assist the sales staff when needed with customer service to ensure a positive customer experience. Good relationships must be established with clients and vendors in order to maximize the customer experience.

**Requirements**:

- Prior administrative experience with an interest is interior design and customer service
- Excellent organization and time management skills are essential.
- High-quality personal standards and confidence.
- Good typing, Word, Excel, and Outlook skills required.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to call customers and vendors with related business.
- Valid BC driver’s license

**Responsibilities**:

- Open the store
- Answer phones & attend to customers
- Check pricing online and update accordingly
- Prepare new price lists and labelling as required
- Monitor and enter new samples from sales reps, place in showroom
- Review displays and remove discontinued products
- Enter customers into client management
- Stock check on samples as selected by customer before they leave the building - weekdays only.
- Sign in and out samples
- Order samples for - customers/ commissioned sales people/ commercial estimators/ and track arrival
- Keep count of all stock cleaners and sundries
- Process payments
- Inside sales - process the order/take payment/call when product arrives
- Provide quotations for customers
- Review customer files and submit for installation
- Invoice completed orders
- Attend all Product Knowledge sessions so product knowledge is up to date
- Stock coffee/toilet sundries/tidy bathroom & coffee room
- Re arrange displays and samples/dust samples/ sweep floors
- Keep the showroom looking tidy - replace samples removed to show customers

**Wages & Benefits**
- Wages will be commensurate with experience.
- Vacation will be 10 days per annum (4% of gross pay)
