**North American Packaging Manager** At Irving Consumer Products, we recognize that the key to our success is our people. The **North American Packaging Manager** will be based out of Toronto, Ontario (1551 Weston Road, M6M 4Y4) and is responsible for providing leadership and direction to support the development and execution of all products and packaging formats for Irving Consumer Products. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, the role will manage the implementation process in the areas of product changes, line extensions and new product development for branded as well as private label products. This role will work cross-functionally and extensively interface with the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Management and Operations teams. That doesn’t just refer to our cutting-edge tech or marketing model—it means supporting every member of our team to learn, grow and become a bigger part of the company. **Job Requirements**: - Education: University degree; - Experience: 8-10 years' relevant work experience; - Packaging Development, Project Management and People Management skills; - Experience in a CPG company and/or within the packaging industry considered an asset. **The main duties/responsibilities of this role include**: **Product packaging & management**: - Management of product packaging change processes - Lead "Go PIF" product change initiation process - Implementation of new product initiatives, ensuring compliance with government and custom regulations - Follow up on discrepancies **People management**: - Lead, support, facilitate ongoing development of direct reports - Weekly status meetings - Advising on calls/meetings **New product development and continuous improvement**: - Drive improvements of current product packaging changes - Work collaboratively with relevant cross-functional areas to ensure continuous improvement across processes and initiatives. **Cross-function work**: - Manage workflow and workload across functions to enable packaging changes and initiatives - Manage and integrate cross-functional work streams to ensure packaging timelines are met by monitoring and managing progress - Take corrective actions when necessary. **KPI/Budget/Forecasting**: - Manage packaging project portfolio to ensure delivery of timelines - Track and manage packaging **Strategic**: - Assist in developing long term strategic plans for Packaging & Product Management **What We Offer** Irving Consumer Products is proud to offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including but not limited to: - A flexible medical, dental, and vision plan - Employee & family assistance programs - RRSP matching program - Health & wellness reimbursements - Product purchase program - Opportunities to take part in job related training and development - Growth and progression opportunities within Irving Consumer Products and the larger network of the J.D.
