**YOUR JOB**
You will direct the overall management of assigned stores including the achievement of all financial and operating goals through committed teams and outstanding operational excellence while adhering to company standards and directives, reflecting the desired company image, and delivering a safe and superior shopping experience for customers.
**YOUR RESPONSABILITIES**
You occupy time in-store and out-of-store, investing focused time where it is most needed in order to deliver on our key priorities:
- DISTRICT MANAGEMENT- Act as a liaison between the Head Office and your district’s stores by making regular visits and interacting with management.
- Partner with the Retail People Manager to ensure the ongoing operations of your district’s stores is in alignment with the company’s mission and vision.
- Partner with the Learning & Development Specialist to ensure accessibility to the most up-to-date on-boarding and training tools and resources.
- Conduct ongoing recruitment of Store Managers (with the support of the Talent department) for current and future openings, ensuring staffing of high potential talent by assessing skill and cultural fit.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations in order to grow market share, improve customer experience, drive growth, and outshine the competition.
- STORE PERFORMANCE_
- Manage your stores’ performance ensuring projected revenues, sales and other company targets are achieved.
- Ensure your stores effectively manage their overall operations, from generating effective schedules, managing the flow of goods, controlling expenditures, wage costs and losses to maintaining environments that are inviting and shoppable.
- Ensure all stores deliver the same outstanding shopping experience ensuring district-wide customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate your team on their knowledge and skills on every visit and giving them on-the-spot coaching and feedback.
- Cultivate and grow a strong team of committed Store Managers that will achieve high performance.
- Support Store Managers on the execution of the annual performance review process.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising to ensure store teams are trained on how to merchandise product as per company standards, ensuring smooth floor set execution.
- LOSS & PREVENTION_
- Conduct SWOT analysis and audits in your stores as needed, establishing an action plan to address key priorities and get the store on track to achieving optimal results.
- Partner with Loss Prevention to ensure the identification and mitigation of high loss areas within your district.
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- 5+ years’ experience in management in fashion retail with demonstrated ability in achieving or exceeding sales plans.
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration and/or College diploma in retail management or related field, an asset
- Proven track record of leading, coaching, aligning, and building teams while adhering to well-developed ethical standards of professional behavior.
- Positive attitude, outgoing and identifies with the BESTSELLER’s 10 principles (values).
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English. If you are fluent in French as well, this would be considered as an asset.
- A vehicle and valid driver’s license, ability to travel locally within Quebec and Ontario.
