**This position can choose how they would like to work: In-Office (Kitchener, ON) or Hybrid.
- Hybrid schedule will be a minimum of 3 days of in-office attendance each week

**How you will make a difference**
- Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders
- Support with maintaining and reducing costs of materials and services for production
- Implement parts/materials replenishment programs for applicable parts internally and throughout supply chain
- Work with team to ensure incoming inventory meets minimum demand requirements and within maximum levels
- Assist the Senior Buyer in data collection on supplier performance and department OKR’s
- Improve ERP data integrity and utilization of system modules to optimize processes
- Develop relationships with various vendors while executing best procurement practices
- Resolve supplier material quality, delivery, and invoicing issues
- Liaise with suppliers on quality problems in conjunction with company quality standards
- Monitor Kanban stock levels and receipts
- Perform cycle counting to monitor inventory accuracy

We are looking for an enthusiastic **Materials** **Buyer** to be part of our Purchasing Team in support of our business. This role helps develop relationships with suppliers, reduces cost of materials, and works closely with our Production Team to provide all the necessary materials for manufacturing our robots.

Our Materials Buyer is an independent contributor reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.

**Minimum qualifications**
- Formal education related to Procurement and Supply Chain
- 1+ years of working experience as a Buyer or a Supply Chain role in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on working experience with ERP systems (Epicor is a HUGE plus)
- Experience and Ability to identify risks that affect supply and delivery
- Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search

**Preferred qualifications and key skills**
- Fluent in English and Mandarin languages
- Demonstrates excellent communications skills (verbal & written) as well as interpersonal skills including the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
- Good problems solving skills
- Solid work ethic, self-motivated and effectively works independently and within a team environment
- Strong Computer skills (GSuite and/or Microsoft Office Suite along with ERP systems)
