**DIVISION**PRINCIPAL**-**First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education**

We are looking to hire a probationary full time Division Principal for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education at St. Basil Catholic Education Centre in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence August 25, 2025 and terminate June 30, 2026. This position is covered by the ATA collective agreement.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Religious Education, the Division Principal for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education will lead our pursuit of the Board priority in Living Truth and Reconciliation, as well as providing support to our school-based administrators. This role focuses on leading supports and services that address the needs of students and staff.

You have a passion for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education and are an advocate in fostering reconciliation and deepening understanding of our collective responsibilities as Treaty people. You are dedicated to ensuring all students and staff are knowledgeable, understanding of, and respectful of the rich diversity of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. You are able to effectively lead teams that support First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education, and have proven skills in working collaboratively to realize the vision that our First Nations, Métis and Inuit students continue to see increasing success rates. Through interest, lifestyle, and growth you demonstrate involvement and leadership within a Christ-centered working environment.

**Qualifications**
- Certified to teach in the province of Alberta;
- With successful teaching and school administrative experience;
- Who possess a Master's degree or are actively in a Master's program;
- Who possess, or are willing to acquire, a Leadership Quality Standard Certificate.

**Experience**
- A student-focused leader, dedicated to excellence in student learning in an inclusive environment;
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide consultative support to achieve Division and School-based goals in the area of First Nations, Métis and Inuit learning and student success;
- Ability to build strong relationships with schools and First Nations, Métis and Inuit stakeholders;
- Ability to oversee numerous and complex programs and projects, including collecting, analyzing and responding to learning data;
- Ability to provide effective leadership skills which will foster innovation, collaboration, respect and trust;
- Experience in leading and delivering professional learning;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written;
- Evidence of a strong commitment to Catholic education.
