PRINCIPAL – St. Kateri Elementary School

The School

St. Kateri Elementary School is the newest addition to our Holy Spirit schools. It is a K-6 school on the west side of Lethbridge with a scheduled opening in the 2026/2027 school year.

The Individual

You are a proven and active promoter of the Gospel values in the life of schools, as well as a dynamic, student-focused leader dedicated to excellence in student achievement in all areas of education. You are a strong advocate for youth and their success in learning. You demonstrate by interest, lifestyle, and growth involvement within a Christ-centered working environment. An understanding of multi-age philosophy is considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • Evidence of a strong commitment to our faith and to Catholic education in general, including successful teaching experience as a Catholic educator;
  • Student-focused leader, dedicated to excellence in student learning in an inclusive environment;
  • Ability to provide effective leadership which fosters innovation, collaboration, respect and trust;
  • Ability to establish a school culture that supports the development of students to be confident, inclusive, collaborative, creative, adaptable and resilient;
  • Exemplary spoken, written and online communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal capabilities;
  • Strong leadership and management skills;
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Education or/or related field or actively in a Master's program;
  • Ability to work in partnership with parents, the parish priest and other stakeholders to support student growth and development.
