Navitas is seeking to employ an **Academic Success Manager** to join our North American team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This role supports our Toronto Metropolitan University International College (TMUIC).

The Academic Success Manager assists the Associate Director of Student and Academic Success to efficiently and effectively manage operations of the Academic Department in the delivery of the TMUIC teaching and learning services. This incorporates responsibilities for foundation program curriculum oversight, academic quality assurance, and developing strong links and working relationships with the University Partner (UP).

The incumbent has proven supervisory experience in leading and supporting an instructional team enjoys problem solving and rolling up her/his sleeves to oversee the daily functions of the College’s Academic Department. The position also has the ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues/tasks of varying priorities and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact using tact and diplomacy.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership in, and management of, teaching and learning activities
- Maintain excellent relationships with UP
- Monitor academic standards and ensuring that the College maintains appropriate high level of quality in the delivery of teaching and learning objectives
- Foster professional excellence with teaching staff on all matters relating to student learning needs;
- Maximise business opportunities by developing and maintaining procedures and processes, that optimise resources and meet budget targets
- Assistance with the development of new academic programs to meet the needs of College students
- Oversee the curriculum and facilitation of academic support programs and foundational courses
- Support the development and management of student academic and welfare policies
- Work across all college teams to ensure that students have a smooth transition into the college and university
- Manage the instructional staff:

- Assist in the determination of teaching requirements and engagement of appropriately qualified academic staff
- Manage instructional staff performance and professional development
- Management of exam and invigilation process
- Report on the academic key performance indicators
- Oversee student enrolment processes to ensure a smooth enrolment period for new and returning students
- Assist the Deputy College Director with the strategic/operational planning of the College.
- Other duties as required.

***Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- A degree in a relevant field from a recognized university
- Experience in the supervision and management of staff (instructional staff preferred).
- Experience in a higher education environment working with students and faculty.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, promote, implement and evaluate programs that support professional development of instructional staff.
- Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills in the capacity to manage all functions of a busy office.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Demonstrated written communication skills that enable the appointee to compile, present and disseminate reports and submissions.
- Ability to organize and prioritise multiple issues/tasks of varying priorities.
- Sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles and ability to implement them at the strategic and/or operational level.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality assurance.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
