Position Overview:
The Regional Finance Manager will provide a variety of financial and accounting services and advice to assigned Regional Groups and the respective Vice Presidents to ensure the requirements of both the Regional Group and Corporate finance are met. This will be achieved by having involvement in all aspects of the region, including the income statement, balance sheet and will also serve as the first point of contact for the Operations group.
**Job Description**:
- Preparation, interpretation, analysis and explanation of various financial and operational reports. This includes the research and explanation of budget variances, monitoring of accounts and recommending corrective action. (60%)
- Provide forward looking consultation through support, challenging, and validating what the Regional Operations delivers. This will ensure the financial presentation, budget and forecast process is understood, adhered to and completed to corporate requirements. (20%)
- Financial analysis and ROI calculations for business proposals, equipment deals, contracts, financing activities, acquisitions and closing of branch operations. (10%)
- Lead, coach, mentor and develop others (10%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting or Finance Major).
- Professional Accounting Designation (preferred) or MBA.
- 3-5 years progressive accounting and finance experience in an operational environment (managerial level)
- 1-2 years prior leadership experience
- Supervisory, Coaching courses would be considered assets
