Clean Harbors **Edmonton** is looking for a **Regional Finance Manager **to join their collaborative team This person will be working with our Specialty Service teams and will be responsible for the continuous improvement and implementation of financial and management information systems. This person will work within the region and local general managers and regional vice presidents to ensure that financial data is maintained and reported in a timely and accurate manner. Act in a "business partner" capacity with regional management. - Perform monthly closing of all Profit and Loss (P&L) activity in the region; Analyze job profitability and analyze P&L each month. Analyze key costs incurred for various tasks and specific jobs vs expectations. - Analyze information flow and recommend and implement improvements. Participate, recommend, and track cost savings projected vs actual. - Direct and prioritize the work of shared service administrators located in the region, who are responsible for data entry, payroll, accounts payable, purchase orders, Pcard, and are the local human resource contact. - Prepare budget for the region and its branches. - Present, explain, and comment on financial results at the branch or regional level to area management, including processes and procedures critical to the generation of timely and accurate financial results. Recommend areas for improvement from any unfavorable trends. - Research and compile information from various systems and sources and recommend approaches to improve profit to operations personnel, as well as system and control improvements to senior management. - Responsible for reading, comprehending, and following the applicable narratives pertaining to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements. - Responsible for reporting to supervisor potential control deficiencies noted, procedural changes that have occurred or may occur which may require update to SOX documentation, and for suggesting improvements to the financial control environment. - Responsible for timely and accurate submissions to auditors when questions arise surrounding audits. - Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner. - Other duties may be assigned. - 7- 10 years of Experience in Accounting and/or Financial Management experience/knowledge - within an Oil and Gas, Mining, Manufacturing company/ industry (public practice(S) not ideal) - CPA Designation required. - Strong MS Office skills, specifically within Excel. - Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. - Must be a problem solver and be able to articulate numbers/ results/ budgets to our management teams. **Wondering what to expect in starting your career with Clean Harbors?** Click Here to view a Day in the Life Video **40-years of sustainability in action. **At Clean Harbors, our mission is to create a safer, cleaner environment through the treatment, recycling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
