**What’s the role?**

Reporting to the TPA Finance Supervisor, the Accounting Technician is responsible for the following:

- Perform bank reconciliations ensuring proper support for bank transactions is provided and using professional judgement to identify any unusual transactions requiring additional investigation or support
- Calculate, analyze, and process company premium remittances and broker commissions on time and accurately
- Process intercompany transfers and implement appropriate tracking of transfers
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of the processes related to assigned tasks and suggest improvements
- Understand the role of each team within the TPA department and how your work impacts Cowan
- Prepare reconciliations and analysis accurately and on time
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required

**What does it take?**
- Previous Finance-related experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
