**What’s the ask?**

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Technician is responsible for preparing and sending invoices to clients, ensuring accurate revenue data is entered in the accounting system, and following up with clients on outstanding invoices for the Benefits & Wealth Division.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Accurately record revenue from invoices in the accounting system
- Perform daily operations relating to accounts receivable, including preparing customer invoices, following up for timely collection, and maintaining aging of accounts at acceptable levels;
- Timely completion of payroll file uploads used to generate client invoices
- Assist in recording commission revenue from carrier statements
- Gain an understanding of the other team members’ tasks to provide backup during peak times
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required

**What does it take?**
- Completed post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
- Previous accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Comfortable dealing with company personnel at various levels and can work in a team
