**Job Description: Facilities Manager**

Sanctus Church’s vision is to become a regional church of 10,000 meeting the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of people in Jesus' name.

We’re seeking a mature, reliable and hardworking individual to lead and serve as our Facilities Manager. The main objective will be to oversee all Sanctus facilities and develop and lead a team of custodians, contractors and volunteers to achieve exceptionally maintained facilities. Budgeting, scheduling and contract negotiation are also key parts of this role. The Facilities Manager will report directly to the Executive Director of Administration.

Monday-Friday for 40 hours per week plus on-call for security issues.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Team oversight and staff management:

- Oversee custodial staff and schedule the team, recruit when needed and manage their performance.
- Create, train and manage teams of volunteers
- Recruit and oversee a team of reliable freelance contractors who would be available for cleaning and security as needed
- Scheduling contractors based around ministry needs to ensure no scheduling interferences with ministry schedule

Budgeting
- Preparing annual budget for facilities and preparing proposal forecast for review
- Ensuring budget is adhered to during the year and establishing routine check points
- Reviewing utility bills including all sub contractor billing and supply vendor invoice management and review to ensure accuracy and alignment with budgeted costs

Contracting
- Sourcing and overseeing contracts and service providers
- Managing outsourcing for: cleaning, parking, security, technology, landscaping
- Managing and coordinating trades
- Hiring, firing and renegotiating of trades
- Coordinating and overseeing snow removal and landscaping contracts to ensure sidewalk safety and parking lot security; ensuring
- Managing staff storage needs: building lofts, storage, sheds

Safety:

- Ensuring this is a safe environment for staff
- Parking lot requirements
- Kitchen requirements
- HVAC systems maintenance and requirements for ventilation and air requirements
- Fire protection and liability insurance: meeting with fire marshalls, checking fire extinguishers and emergency lifting, smoke detectors on a monthly basis and ensuring reporting is up to date and submitted on time
- Responsible for first aid training, AED and refreshing first aid box supplies.
- Managing the programming, cutting, and security of key fobs and tracking each individual key, managing repairs of keys and collection of keys as needed

Ministry support:

- Preparing office reallocations, hanging pictures, preparing items to be moved, cabinets and security storage
- Set up and tear down required within the facilities to support each ministry requirements
- Handling waste management; facilitating the waste disposal process and coordinating service
- Baptism services; set up and tear down of tank to be coordinated along with baptism schedules
- Providing contractor support to facilitate external and internal events including

Weddings and Funerals:

- Performing the janitorial duties and cleaning duties for each room and in preparation for all services

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
