Acheson, Canada RAE Energy Full time

**Job Title: Technical Writer**
**Location**: Acheson, Alberta
**Role**: In-office (not hybrid)

**Job Type**: Full time

**Who We Are**

ArgusNDT Inc., a RAE company, is a forward-thinking technology company innovating at the intersection of software and hardware solutions. We specialize in delivering advanced tools and systems for industrial inspection, with a focus on non-destructive testing (NDT), automated ultrasonic testing (AUT), and pipeline integrity. We're growing fast—and looking for a Technical Writer to help us tell our story with precision, clarity, and impact.

**What You’ll Do**

As our **Technical Writer**, you’ll bridge the gap between complex engineering and clear, accessible content for a wide range of users. You'll collaborate with software developers, R&D engineers, and field technicians to create accurate, engaging, and user-friendly documentation that enhances product understanding and supports our market presence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Write, structure, and maintain technical documentation, including:

- User manuals, setup guides, training materials, and help files for software and hardware products
- Internal documentation to support ongoing product development and maintenance
- Design and develop online training content using e-learning tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Collaborate closely with engineering and software teams to ensure all documentation reflects current features and workflows
- Research and author technical articles, white papers, and thought leadership content for industry publications and social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, including product sheets, social media posts, website copy, and customer-facing collateral

**About You**

You’re a storyteller with a deep appreciation for technical detail. You love digging into complex topics, asking the right questions, and transforming raw information into clear, concise, and user-centered content. You’re as comfortable brainstorming with engineers as you are in front of a blank document—ready to shape the next great piece of content.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, Technical/Professional Writing, or a related field
- Proven experience writing technical documentation in a B2B, industrial, or technology environment
- Excellent command of written English, with the ability to tailor tone and structure for different audiences
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and content development tools (e.g., Adobe Suite)

**Nice-to-Have Experience**
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Moodle, TalentLMS)
- Background in instructional design and/or e-learning development
- Familiarity with NDT, AUT, or pipeline inspection technologies
- Experience creating content for both software and hardware products
- Basic graphic design skills and understanding of visual communication tools

**Why Join Us**
- Work on cutting-edge industrial technologies with real-world impact
- Join a dynamic, cross-functional team that values innovation and communication
- Competitive salary and benefits package
- Opportunities for growth, learning, and professional development

**To Apply**:
Please send your resume, a brief cover letter, and 1-2 samples of technical writing (or portfolio link). Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

**Benefits**:
