Do you have technical knowledge of heavy-duty parts? Do you enjoy helping internal technicians with their parts product requirements? You will professionally, effectively and accurately pick, kit and document parts for the back counter; addressing the Service Technician requests, returns, concerns, or sourcing requirements etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides requested parts to Technicians, makes suggestions on additional parts needed for repair, sources and requests parts while providing ETA to Technicians/Forman.
- Reviews daily schedule and new work orders for upcoming work, ensuring parts are picked, kitted and tagged, ready for the Service department Technicians when required.
- Posts parts on Karmak computer business system
- Processes cores and warranty parts for credit by: receiving tagged parts from Technicians, matching tags, inspecting parts, and placing in designated area in warehouse
- Stocks shelves and reports to Parts Manager on stock levels.
- Participates in annual parts inventories, clean-up, and preparation work
- Sources parts for select customers by phoning suppliers and competitors
- Orders merchandise within established limits
- Provides coverage on the front counter, assisting customers (in person or by phone), taking orders, invoicing, taking payments when required.
- Ensures that all parts are accurately and clearly written on repair orders and tasks, ensuring that all documentation is kept intact and in the correct bay slots.
- Monitor shop supplies and ensure that list of required supplies gets routinely given to Service Writer for ordering.

**Ideal qualifications**:

- 2 to 3 years of heavy-duty parts experience to ensure the ability to identify parts and work independently
- Prior parts sourcing or purchasing of products preferred
- Experience with operating a forklift preferred
- Customer service focus & ability to build relationships
- Intermediate computer knowledge: keyboarding, data entry, internet
- Ability to learn in-house billing system
- Strong numbers orientation, attention to detail
- Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines
- A team player, shows initiative, and a learner attitude
- Good physical shape, ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day, picking parts and putting parts away
- Mechanical aptitude an asset

**Hours**:
Monday to Thursday 7:30AM - 5:00PM, Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM, and a rotational Saturday shift (typically once every 6+ weeks)
