**POSITION LOCATION/DEPARTMENT**: Warehouse—Narcotic Department
**REPORTS TO**: Director of Regulatory/Quality Assurance
: Responsible for the day to day operations of the Narcotic department.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Picking orders for shipment against verified legal signatures.
- Entering product receipts into inventory.
- Checking reports on a daily and monthly basis for accuracy. Sending appropriate reports to the Drug Control Unit.
- Checking and monitoring inventory levels for discrepancies and/or potential back orders.
- Authorizing and checking returns and entering them into inventory.
- Dealing with customer and client questions and/or concerns.
- Communicating with the appropriate Health Canada officials regarding regulatory affairs, loss-reporting.
- Maintaining the security of the overall caged area including the vaults.
- Supervise and approve packaging / labeling operations that are conducted at the branch.
- Work directly with Health Canada by reporting controlled substance transactions, notifying them of imports/exports and a variety of other requirements.
**SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED**:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High work standards.
- Good problem solving abilities.
- Ability to make decisions and recommendations.
- Ability to provide work direction and instructions to assisting staff.
**EDUCATION Required**:
**Minimum education required**:
**Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields**: pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacology, chemistry, biology, pharmacy technician, laboratory technician, pharmaceutical regulatory affairs or supply chain management or security. Foreign equivalency is also accepted.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
Works under warehouse conditions 80% of the time walking the floor and physical lifting. 20% of the time working in the office. Some overtime as required.
