**The opportunity**
**Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Assistant will provide administrative support to the Skills Development and Employment services portion of March of Dimes Canada in the Sudbury community.**
**Program Length - June 30, 2025 to August 22, 2025**
**Responsibilities**
- Supporting staff with preparing and facilitating group workshops on job readiness and job search skills.
- Support Admin staff with coverage as needed.
- Assist with completing reference checks
- Prospecting: making cold calls to employers to search for leads and assist with labour market research
- Assist with other Outreach activities
- Support with additional program administrative functions as needed
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
**Qualifications and experience**
- Enrolled in or completed college diploma in social service work, developmental service worker, human resources or a related field
- Enrolled in or completed university degree in Psychology, social work, health promotion, career studies or a related field
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle preferred
- Ability to work in a team and/or independently
- Exceptional communications and written skills
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
- Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
**Salary: $17.20 per hour**

- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Note: International students are not eligible participants.
