Here's how a(n) Estimating Student for our Edmonton Buildings office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings
- Assist in building the estimate by formatting and organizing takeoffs
- Review specifications and drawings to ensure all details are captured
- Call trades to discuss scope of work and confirm bidding status
- Help with bid closings and dropping off bids
- Attend construction site-visits for exposure to the construction process, understanding the challenges faced on site and acquire “lessons learned”, from operations team
- Attend pre-bid site visits to gather information for project logistic planning, as well as, assessing risks and opportunities, through assessment reports, to build a more accurate estimate
- Setting up and updating information on Smartbidnet
- Reviewing changes to drawings and specs pre and post tender

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with multiple team members
- Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam will be beneficial.
- Access to a clean, reliable vehicle.
