The GVFB provides support through direct distribution to those in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore, as well as through 160+ agency partners both locally and provincially. **Position Overview**
**As the Agencies Assistant Manager at the GVFB, you will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Agencies Department. This role involves building and maintaining strong partnerships, leading a team, and ensuring our programs run smoothly and effectively.**:
**You will contribute to the overall success of the Agencies function by working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to meet the organization's goals. This includes adhering to established guidelines and procedures while prioritizing our mission of providing healthy food to those in need.**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain strong, sustainable, and mutually beneficial relationships with partnered agencies and other food security organizations.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop and implement strategies and objectives, supporting staff and stakeholders with change management.
- Lead Agency related communication projects, such as website updates, social media highlights, and ensure quarterly reviews and updates of all external-facing partner documents are completed.
- Lead staff teambuilding, training, hiring and onboarding for the Agencies department.
- Oversee successful, sustainable, and FOODSAFE distribution of food for 160+ Community and Provincial Agencies and other food security organizations.
- Oversee Agencies conflict resolution, policy development and maintenance, and agreement accountability with support from team leads.
- Supervise the Agencies team, with the support of team leads, providing guidance, coaching, clear expectations, and structure to their daily tasks.
- Ensure Agencies distribution function runs smoothly including volunteers, product fulfillment and safety, facility maintenance and machinery, and tracking.
- Work with team leads to monitor and improve processes to enhance accuracy, speed, and overall efficiency in the Agencies department.
- Work with team leads to foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team morale and productivity.
- Oversee and ensure meetings are conducted including team meetings, distribution & partnerships meetings, staff one-on-ones, and ongoing performance feedback evaluations.
- Ensure effective collaboration with other departments, such as Operations, Distribution, Communications to ensure seamless cross-department projects and day-to-day.
- Cover Operations Manager when needed and complete other assigned duties.
