The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Reporting Solutions Supervisor for Finance Automation & Analytics, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading the Technical Reporting team to provide end-to-end data and analytics solutions and acting as Product Owner setting strategic direction, prioritization, resource deployment, and project planning to ensure team delivers efficient, high-value solutions to the business.
- Driving global tool adoption, standardization and establishing best practices to deliver transformation.
- Overseeing finance dataset ingestion into Snowflake and managing development teams to deliver robust, client-focused reporting solutions.
- Engaging cross functionally with Treasury, Tax, Business Finance, Manufacturing, Data Intelligence and IT across several global locations.
- Identifying and implementing optimization and process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Developing direct report analysts to become future leaders.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, FP&A, Reporting & Analytics, or Data Analytics in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus
- Strong understanding of Finance & Accounting practices and policies
- Ability to translate and articulate business needs into tangible, data-based solutions
- Extensive knowledge of Finance (RTR) datasets, sources, and security models
- Experience with SQL and working knowledge of query and data warehouse design
- Knowledge of Scrum methodology and Agile principles
- Proficient with Snowflake warehouse & functions with ability to trace & diagnose datasets
- Growth-focused mindset on emerging technologies and capabilities to drive transformation
- Working knowledge of ETL methodologies and exposure to Informatica
Work location:
- Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work on site or hybrid)
- Global Role: This position can be based in any of the listed locations. The primary location of this post could indicate the Hiring Manager’s Location.
