Warehouse Technician

**Job Overview**
We are looking for a technically skilled individual to handle the assembly and alignment of peristaltic pumps and agitators, as well as support general warehouse and shipping operations. The role requires experience with rotating equipment, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include equipment assembly, troubleshooting, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and occasional site work. The role also involves coordinating with project teams and maintaining accurate documentation. Forklift or material handling experience is an asset.
**Duties**
- Peristaltic Pumps and agitator assembly according to specifications and ensure proper alignment for optimal performance.
- This will involve troubleshooting, and problem-solving
- Technical background in rotating equipment (pumps or mixers) on the maintenance, repairs, and operation of rotating machines like pumps and agitators.
- Occasional site work and support
- Shipping and receiving parts and equipment, collection and deliveries.
- Prepare, crate and wrapping of equipment and spare parts for shipping
- Warehouse/shop organization and control.
- Regular stock check and inventory updates.
- Coordinate and communicate between Project team, document control sign off and filing.
- Assist with job card and invoice control, inventory and outwork allocation.
- Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
- Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
- Loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and report damaged goods.
- Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems.
- May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a warehouse, tool room, supply room or other area
- Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal usage.
- Maintain records of orders and the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand using manual or computerized inventory system.
- Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies.
- Advise internal users on appropriateness of parts, supplies or materials requested.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience using warehouse management systems for inventory tracking.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Mechanical trade, artisan experience or tradesman
- Driver’s license.
- Computer literate.
- Good attitude, motivated and good work ethic.
- Willing to learn and go the ‘extra mile’ and develop skills.
