**Position Overview**:
The Installation Technician I supports the delivery of audiovisual (AV) systems by assisting with onsite installations and warehouse operations. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience in the AV field. The Technician will work under the direction of a Project Manager or senior technician in the field and help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse when not on site.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**AV Installation Support**:

- Assist in the installation of AV systems including displays, speakers, microphones, mounts, and cabling
- Pull cable (Cat5e, Cat6, speaker wire, control), label, and assist with termination under supervision
- Mount basic equipment like TVs, cameras, and speakers
- Assist with rack building and equipment staging
- Maintain job site cleanliness and organization
- Load and unload tools and materials for each job site
- Record basic project notes, photos, and updates via mobile project software

**Warehouse Duties**:

- Receive and verify incoming equipment against packing slips
- Stage and organize equipment for upcoming projects
- Perform light cleaning, sweeping, and shop organization
- Assist in inventory tracking and shelving
- Ensure all tools and materials are clean, labeled, and properly stored
- Help perform basic testing of equipment and return checks

**Requirements**:

- Some experience in AV, low-voltage, construction, or general labor
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks quickly
- Good organizational habits and attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work on lifts
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and team-focused attitude

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- WHMIS and Fall Protection (or willingness to obtain)
- Interest in AV, electronics, or technical trades
- Basic familiarity with AV equipment, networks, or tools is a plus

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- Competitive hourly wage ($20 - $25/hr)
