We are one of the leaders in the automotive retail industry. We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll and Benefits Administrator with attention to detail, and willingness to work in a fast paced environment.
**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Process biweekly payroll for all Auto Value Parts employees.
- Maintain accurate employee information, including personal information, employment income, allowances, benefits, non-regular payments, non-statutory deductions, termination of employment, and records of employment.
- Remit monthly contributions to Group Pension & RRSP provider.
- Perform payroll year-end processes including T4s.
- Prepare and file WCB returns.
- Process Payroll journal entries, including accruals & reversals, and payroll allocations
- Maintain and process employee benefits programs (In-house & Extended) including Medical, Dental, Optical & ST /LT Disability.
- Oversee automotive and property insurance policies, and manage/process the insurance claims.
**Qualifications**
- Postsecondary education.
- Proficiency with payroll and HR systems, experience with Avanti will be an asset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Understanding of accounting principles as they relate to payroll.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Computer literacy - word, excel etc.
- Ability to multi-task.
Training will be provided. Salary commensurate with experience.
**Salary**: From $24.50 per hour
