Bilingual Business Development Representative

Fillip is a Calgary-based fintech company leading the digital transformation of fleet payments. Fillip empowers hundreds of businesses with its universally accepted digital fleet card that solves the challenges of distributed payments for busy teams on the road.

We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales team. The BDR will be responsible for sourcing new leads, conducting outreach, communicating with prospects and customers, understanding their needs/challenges, ensuring a smooth sales process, and closing on targets.

To be successful as a BDR you should be able to build rapport and connect with people quickly. A top BDR should also be very competitive and a good listener.
Business Development Representative Overview:

- Communicate with potential users, customers, make outbound calls, and follow up on leads.
- Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities.
- Answer potential users' questions and use various communication channels for follow up.
- Explain and demonstrate features, benefits and use cases of Fillip Fleet.
- Utilize our CRM tool to create and maintain a database of current and potential customers, prioritize tasks, manage pipeline and proactively prepare and present progress to team members.
- Keep up-to-date with product and service information and updates.
- Stay informed about competing products and services.
- Ensure maximum realized potential from each new user.
- Research and qualify new leads.
- Close sales and achieve sales targets.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

- Identify appropriate prospect lists, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business opps.
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling.
- Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate presentations, reports, proposals, and other documentation as required for prospective users.
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, perform due diligence and regularly update the team on market intelligence.

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**
- Secondary education/diploma
- Bilingual
- Previous sales or customer service experience
- Proven success rate at levels above quotas
- Open to learning and becoming proficient with new platforms such as CRM software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong listening skills
- Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
- Personable
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets
- Personal integrity

**Compensation**
- $52,000/year
- Attractive commission plan based on achieving monthly sales targets
- Benefit plan
