**Installer & Field Technician - Smart Lighting & Surface Protection**

Apex Impressions Ltd. - Sharon (Newmarket), Ontario
$24-$32/hr to start, depending on experience
Full-time | Seasonal (March-December)
- **If you like working outdoors, using your hands, and being part of a good crew—read this.**_

**About the Role**

This is a field-based job—no desk, no office, no two days the same.

Why does this job matter? Our work helps homeowners and building owners protect their biggest asset or add beauty and functionality they can control from their phone.

**Key Details**
- Start time: 7:30 AM at our shop in Sharon, ON
- Schedule: Monday-Friday (no weekends)
- Hours: 32-40/week (day ends between 2 PM-6 PM)
- Season: March to December (we close Jan/Feb)

**What You’ll Do**
- Install aluminum track-mounted Gemstone Lights systems on homes and small commercial buildings
- Work from ladders and on roofs
- Move ladders and set up boom lifts
- Help with job-site prep, inventory, and cleanup
- Flyering and assist with estimating in job neighbourhoods
- Record job details in our mobile field app, Jobber
- Assist customers with app setup
- You’ll work alongside a crew lead—this isn’t a solo job

**What We’re Looking For**
- Strong work ethic, good energy, and willingness to learn
- Customer-focused attitude—this is mainly a homeowner-facing role
- Comfortable working at heights (extension ladders 32’ and up, boom lifts)
- Able to lift and move 75 lbs, and ability to move an extension ladder solo
- Experience with hand and power tools from past jobs, DIY, or landscaping is great
- Reliable smartphone with data plan, able to download Jobber & Gemstone Lights Hub apps
- Tech-savvy and able to pick up new things quickly
- Clean driving record + G license, with ability to reliably get to our shop or work sites

We can train skill. We can’t train attitude. If you show up, care about the work, and treat customers and teammates with respect—you’ll fit in great here.

Experience in any of the following is a strong asset (but not required): roofing, siding, soffit/fascia, gutters/eavestrough, irrigation, arborist work, landscaping, landscape lighting, low-voltage installs, or other trades. Not required—we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

**Why Join Us**

We’re a small, family-run business that treats our crew with respect and appreciation. Our work culture is different from most construction jobs—less yelling, more pride in what we do. We’re a close-knit crew, not a big construction company. We joke around, we back each other up, and we take pride in doing things right the first time.

“We don’t just work hard—we enjoy it. And we always leave a house looking better than when we got there.” — Riley, Crew Lead

You’ll get steady, full-time work from March to December, and learn valuable skills. We’re growing every year, and there’s an opportunity to step into a crew lead role if you show consistency and hustle.

**Who This Job Is Not For**

This job probably isn’t for you if: You hate working outside, don’t like using tools, or aren’t comfortable on ladders or heights. We work hard, we move fast, and we help each other out.

**Compensation**
- Entry-level: $24-$26/hr
- With experience: $28-$32/hr
- Raises possible after a couple months based on skill growth and reliability
- Paid training + Working at Heights certification provided
