Victoria, Canada Oaklands Community Association Full time

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for and oversees the organization of both proactive and reactive maintenance of the Oaklands Neighbourhood House (ONH) and other Oaklands Community Associations (OCA) facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Manager will also oversee Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHS) requirements based on WorkSafe BC standards. This position works collaboratively with the Executive Director, the OCA Management team, and external contracts.

**Hours of Work**: This is a regular full-time position with flexible Monday through Friday shifts, excluding statutory holidays and program closures, working 30 hours per week in a hybrid remote and on-site schedule. Evening and weekend work will occasionally be required to support Oaklands Community Association's facilities and buildings and other duties associated with the responsibilities of this position.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a relevant and related field
- General knowledge of construction and construction materials and tools; understanding of basic electricity and plumbing
- A knowledge of BC Building and Safety Standards and Worksafe BC is preferred
- Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle, tools, and access to a computer and cellular phone for communication
- The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

**Starting Rate of Pay**: $28.00/hour, plus 4% vacation pay. After the probationary period, an additional $360/year ($30/month) cellular phone stipend will be provided, and a benefits package including extended health, dental, and life insurance, as well as a pension plan, is available. Position includes Oaklands Community Association (OCA) discounts of 50% on programs, additional paid time off, and 1 free rental per year as per the employee agreement.
