Our Align by KBH division specializes in cloud-based bookkeeping and advisory services, helping clients streamline their financial operations. We are currently seeking a full-time **Manager, Align Accounting Services** to lead and grow this dynamic practice. This role reports to the Partner, Align, and will oversee the department's operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong background in bookkeeping, cloud-based accounting solutions, and team management.
**What will your role look like?**
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll.
- Ensure all tax-related documents and working papers are prepared and filed accurately.
- Assist in implementing cloud-based accounting software and automation tools.
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of Accounting Technicians (onsite and remotely).
- Assist with hiring and planning for the department’s growth.
- Act as the primary contact for Align by KBH clients.
- Provide onboarding, training, and technical support for clients using cloud-based accounting tools.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of client inquiries.
- Assess and establish fees for new clients and projects based on scope.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and firm policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging accounting technologies.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and value-added support for clients.
- Work with KBH Partners to introduce Align by KBH services to prospective clients.
- Manage firm relationships with service providers, including QBO, Dext, Wagepoint, and others.

**What will you bring to the role?**
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years as a QuickBooks Certified Pro-Advisor (Advanced Online) with experience in cloud-based accounting apps (e.g., Dext, Hubdoc, Wagepoint, etc.).
- 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, including training experience.
- Experience as a **Controller or Senior Accountant** is an asset.
- 1-2 years of payroll experience; Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is an asset.
- Knowledge of Alberta _Employment Standards Code_ is an asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
