Night Auditor

The Night Auditor is responsible for posting and balancing charges and settlements; maintaining files; and resetting the systems for the next day's operations. This position requires basic knowledge of accounting operations, mathematical skills, and computing skills.

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**:

- Act as the ambassador and welcoming component of our guests' overnight arrival
- Problem solving guest concerns and proactively exceeding guest expectations
- Complete all required checklists/paperwork during shift as required
- Respond promptly to all requests by guests and employees and informing appropriate contact of maintenance deficiencies, guest concerns or service issues
- Check in and check out guests, answer phones
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our hotel’s facilities and features
- Perform all Night Audit duties, including posting of Room & Tax, balancing guest accounts, telephones and end of day reports
- Review/record in Night Audit and Front Desk logbook to ensure thorough communication and follow up
- Run tapes for all postings and balance each department
- Review and balance all credit cards
- Print accounting & sales reports

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of grade 12
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Front Desk experience preferred
- Must be computer literate
- Ability to speak French is an asset
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Must possess an outstanding level of customer service, be punctual, and well-organized
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team environment
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with co-workers, managers, and guests
