**About the role**
- Leads the identification and qualification of opportunities, domestically, for the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Business Area in Canada. Develops and maintains a consultative relationship with customers and serves as a thought leader in military and commercial related opportunities. Shared accountability to shape and win new business through a balanced focus on customer value and ensuring the customer’s requirements are understood. Develops and leads capture strategies including business solutions and resource aspects (personnel, financial, technical) for pursuit of opportunities: identifies potential customers, conducts competitive assessments and assesses Position-to-win (Ptw).
- Should have a background in a military operational discipline, joint operations, or intelligence support, preferably related to Air and Naval operations with a solid understanding of operational Command and Control Systems
- Will work in a team and across the greater RMS organization supporting all Lines of Business (LOB) including working with adjacent LOBs in their areas of Command and Control, Radar, and Electronic Warfare, and Sensing Systems
- Will initiate and participate in bid and proposal activities and deliver executive-level presentations on new business opportunities, supporting capture teams in developing opportunity-specific win strategies as part of proposal development and capture execution
- Serves as relationship manager with potential teammates, subcontractors and other international capture leads
- Analyzes competitor strategies, prices, methods of operation and performance
- Collects and maintains information on the requirements, organization, budget and preferences of customers and competitors
- Develops solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity, creativity, and initiative
- Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions
- Can manage New Business Acquisition Expenditures within assigned envelopes to achieve success.

**What you bring to the role**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 15 years or more of professional experience.

**Required skills**:

- A background in military operation, in a Joint environment
- Experience in program development, business development, capture management or procurement
- Proven ability to compile program/business development thought papers or documentation related to a capture process
- Excellent organization skills
- Highly team oriented and deferential to team objectives
- Self-motivated
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office products; in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly effective working in a virtual environment when required
- Strong ability to manage and effectively execute a broad work portfolio
- Outstanding interpersonal skills

**Additional skills desired for the role**
- Additional language skills outside of English are considered an asset. Demonstrated track record in leading a team, with full accountability, to achieve assigned business objectives including development of business strategies and operating plans.
