Nella Cutlery was established over 70 years ago serving Toronto’s finest restaurants and food shops with food equipment, utensils and a knife sharpening service. Nella is currently looking for a Retail Sales/Cashier Associate for their downtown Nella Cucina location. Nella Cucina represents the synergy between the professional chef and the aspiring home chef. Our convenient downtown location provides “one-stop shopping” for the right tools that will help you create a masterpiece in your kitchen.

The Sales Associate’s responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards.

Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Schedule: 3 - 5 work days. Must be available to work on Saturdays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maximize all sales opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service in order to build clientele
- Develop strong product knowledge of all brands
- Cultivate an environment that excites and welcomes the customer
- Communicate product and customer feedback to manager/owners
- Handle multiple customers and be comfortable providing customers with options
- Ability to multitask and complete many different things during peak times and also be proactive during slower times
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette through customer service
- Ensure ease of customer experience through visual presentation and overall store maintenance
- Actively participate in all merchandising activities including, but not limited to: store windows, daily stock maintenance and order, stock receiving and processing

**Qualifications**:

- Retail sales experience.
- A professional appearance.
- Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- The ability to lift 10kg.

**Job Type**: Full Time - Hours 35 - 40 hour work week or Part Time - Hours 24 - 30 hours per week
