**What we do**

Benmet Steel & Metal is a **leader in the Canadian scrap and recycling industry** located in Guelph, Stratford and Owen Sound, Ontario. We are one of the most established and reputable independent scrap metal processors in Ontario. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team.

**With our Business Development role** you will be responsible for driving the business growth. Your role will be to develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities while focusing on sales projections and forecasting revenue.

This provides an opportunity to learn the industry from the ground up to prepare you for a fulfilling career at Benmet.

**Responsibilities include**:

- **Scale** - Operation and cash management
- **Purchasing -**Commodities from our retail customers
- **Preparation** and completion of paperwork with an attention to detail.
- **Face to face time with customers - Growing Clients - Sales Calls**:

- **Developing** customer interactions with knowledge of the metal recycling industry

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel and Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexible, adaptable, with strong multitasking skills.
