**Fibre Optic Installation Technician (Regina, SK)**

**The position**

**Requirements - to be considered for this job, you must have or obtain the following**:

- A Federal Business Registration Number & GST Number
- Contractor Liability Insurance (min $5,000,000 liability)
- An account in Good Standing with Sask WCB
- Some Power Tools and Hand Tools, extension ladder/ step ladders
- A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence
- Safety Equipment: steel-toed boots, hardhat, safety glasses, etc.

**Duties**
- Install Fibre Optic infrastructure in MDUs
- Install Fibre Distribution Boxes, raceway conduit, EMT and racetrack and Fibre Termination Boxes
- Read and understand telco infrastructure designs
- Troubleshoot and problem solve
- Work closely with our dispatch office to maintain the highest customer service
- Submit reporting on completed work, including pictures
- Collaborate with our business partners to solve problems and find solutions
- Manage equipment/inventory levels
- Complete required learning courses and certifications (paid for by Elite)

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous Fiber Optic installation experience or copper/coax installation experience or a skilled trade such as electrical or related technical experience is required
- Capable of using the tools of the trade, including but not limited to meters, power tools, hand tools, ladders and Fibre tools
- You must be self-motivated and have a desire to perform high quality work while providing a best-in-class customer experience
- You must be a responsible, advocate for Elite Communications and the partners we represent
- You should be a team player and collaborate with our other technicians to solve problems, continuously learn and improve
- Able to work at heights or in confined spaces

You must be bondable - a criminal record check and proof of insurance will be required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Freelance

**Salary**: $300.00-$500.00 per day

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
