**Position**: Supply Chain Supervisor
**Responsibilities including but not limited to**:
- Delivery schedule planning and ensuring complete on-time delivery to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Provide leadership and demand of supply chain, inventory management, and coaching and mentoring direct reports in Order Processing to determine customers’ demand and schedule production accordingly.
- Communicate with the Plant Manager and Production Supervisor to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely operations by direct reports in order picking, shipping and receiving.
- Responsible for booking movements and coordinating effectively with freight companies, trans-loaders, rail, truckers and optimizing shipments in terms of timing, loads and budget.
- Implement procurement, export/import strategies, standards, policies and procedures; review import/export documentation and ensure compliance with customs, food safety requirements, letter of credit, and contractual agreements while dealing with customs brokers.
- Complete standard reporting and KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Short
- and long-term planning with management team to determine demand, identify risks to supply and resolve before customers are impacted; proposing initiatives and working collaboratively toward operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of mutual respect and build and maintain positive employee relations.
- Sourcing and negotiating supply and service contracts.
- Identify, document and execute standard operating procedures.
- Provide professional, effective purchasing / price negotiation, contributing to the business's financial success.
- Manage plant material inventory levels through the development and implementation of annual targets.
**Experience and qualification**:
- University degree from accredited institution, ideally in business, economics, engineering is required.
- Diploma/Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS preferred, and/or Completion of Purchasing Management Association of Canada or equivalent designation.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a related Materials Planning, Production Planning and Logistics position, with desire to hone master production planning, detailed operational scheduling, and inventory management skills.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to drive team toward operational excellence.
