Squamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson’s Landing, and Squamish River watershed. As an organization, we provide support to the greater Squamish Nation Community through service. With 12 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Community Members have access to necessary programs and services.
**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Working as an integral part of the Ayás Mén̓men Child and Family Services Department, this position reports directly to the Team Leader, Admin Services. This position is twofold. 1). Manages the administrative flow and clerical tasks required by the Case Management and Family Therapy divisions. Operating as the “key point of contact” for the social workers and therapists, this position provides a wide range of clerical and administrative support including maintenance and tracking of filing systems, scheduling and coordinating of social worker visits and meeting rooms and tracking of detailed data in excel format. 2) Responsible for assisting the social workers with new case intakes, caseloads, admin duties, etc. This position provides research regarding programs and services as well as undertakes special assignments and initiatives. The incumbent is accountable for developing and maintaining a bring-forward system for contracts and agreements. The incumbent is responsible for a broad range of administrative tasks that usually require senior approval but may require independent judgment in some situations. Strong knowledge of federal and provincial Child & Family Service policies, practices and protocols, including knowledge of delegated authority from the provincial Ministry of Child & Family Development is required. The incumbent is required to have a good understanding of the professional staff’s requirements, court processes, case management techniques and community resources.

**Salary**: $ 53,456 - $ 59,624 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
