**Summary**

Precision Drilling is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Communications Intern in Calgary, AB to join our dynamic marketing team. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry and the chance to work with a global leader in drilling services. As a Marketing Communications Intern, you will support various marketing initiatives, assist in crafting compelling content, and help execute marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in analyzing digital marketing trends and social media strategies to ensure our marketing efforts remain innovative and effective.

**Responsibilities**
- Social Media: Collaborate with the marketing team to curate and schedule engaging social media content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and strategy
- Social Media Trends Analysis: Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in social media marketing, sharing relevant insights and recommendations to keep our social media strategies fresh and effective
- Digital Marketing Analysis: Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, including website traffic, click-through rates, and social media engagement. Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing our digital presence
- Digital Asset Management (DAM): Assist the team in sorting and identifying pictures that have been collected from the field and employees for upload into our internal DAM platform
- Graphic Design: Support the creation of visual assets, such as infographics and presentations, to enhance marketing materials
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and technology, to align marketing efforts with company goals
- Recruitment Advertising: Help create and execute recruitment advertising campaigns to attract top talent to Precision Drilling
- Brochure and Case Study Design: Collaborate with the marketing team to publish brochures and case studies through our interactive design platform to showcase our products and services effectively
- Website Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating the company website to ensure it remains current and user-friendly

**Knowledge & Skills**

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Basic knowledge of graphic design and social media platforms

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment

Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to problem-solving

**Education**

Must be pursuing or have just completed a degree in Marketing/Communication, Digital Marketing, Design, or a related program

**Experience**

Minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience in an office environment is an asset

Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry is an asset
