**Position Detail**:
We are looking for an experienced Bilingual (French/English) Temporary Junior Energy Analyst to join our team for this remote role in Quebec.
Reporting to the Vice President of Development, Canada, the Temporary Junior Analyst, Development is responsible for analyzing FirstLight's projects in wind, solar, storage, hydro and hybrid energy. Collaborates with our internal and external teams and plays a key role in the success of projects.
**Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To**:

- Analyze the performance of energy projects (wind, hydro, solar, storage, cogeneration), their availability, their profitability and seek to optimize them at each development stages;
- Participate in the due diligence process when acquiring assets or projects (analysis of production or availability data);
- Participate in the financial modeling of energy projects;
- Participate in the development of analysis tools and templates in order to improve monitoring and reporting;
- Work in close collaboration with service providers involved in project development (consulting engineering, consultants, etc.);
- Maintain active monitoring of the various energy policies in Canada and identify development opportunities;
- Analyze calls for tenders from IESO and Hydro-Québec (and other potential markets), participate in the preparation of tender submissions;
- Complies with all FirstLight policies and procedures
- Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, required;
- 1+ years of relevant experience including the development of energy projects;
- Demonstrate autonomy and accountability and have a good sense of organization and adaptation;
- Knowledge and understanding of energy markets;
- Experience with mathematical and statistical modeling;
- Bilingual French and English;
- Ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment;
- Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
