**Job Description**:
- Reporting to the Insulator Supervisor, the Insulator Technician is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers by offering professional in-home energy efficient installations (including attic insulation, draft proofing and high-efficiency fans) and educating customers on improving and maintaining energy efficiency in their homes.
- Under the Energy Conservations Assistance Program (ECAP), you will have a direct impact to improve low-income family housing by helping them save energy. The ECAP program installs insulation, draft proofs houses, and installs high-efficiency gas furnaces, and all this at no cost to the participants.
- Responsibilities
- Draft proofing the house to reduce air leakage
- Help installing new high-efficiency bathroom fan
- Fit insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists
- Install vapor barriers
- Duct Sealing
- Must have CSA approved Safety Boots or be willing to purchase
- Required qualifications:
- 1 year of attic insulation or residential renovations preferred or we can offer on-site training
- Must possess valid BC Driver’s License, a clean Driver's Abstract
- Clean criminal background check
- Physically demanding; standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to travel and service areas within BC, overnight and weekly travel required
- Location and Travel
- Full-time; Hourly; Plus Incentive Pay
- $25.00-$30.00 per hour
