Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control is Canada's largest urban wildlife control company. The Coquitlam franchise is looking to grow and currently seeking talented individuals looking for a unique career opportunity.

Our Wildlife Control Technicians specialize in the humane removal of wildlife from homes and businesses. Our service also includes repairing wildlife damage and taking steps to prevent re-entry. No two jobs are the same and every day brings new and exciting challenges.

This part-time position requires no previous experience and is built for people who hate the idea of being stuck inside all day. We offer complete training to those with the drive and will to succeed. Position will be 2-3 full days of the week. Potential to grow to full-time technician.

Our Wildlife Control Technicians get to be the hero each day by helping homeowners to resolve their conflicts with nuisance wildlife. On site duties include meeting and communicating with new clients, evaluating problems and developing strategies for resolution.

A successful candidate has excellent customer service and time management skills, is good with their hands, self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect buildings and outside areas of property to detect signs of wildlife intrusion.
  • Humanely remove and exclude wildlife from homes and structures.
  • Repair wildlife damage and wildlife-proof entry points.
  • Advise clients on how to prevent or limit wildlife encounters in or around their home.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
  • Operate in confined spaces including attics and crawlspaces.
  • Use of power/hand tools, insulation/restoration equipment.
  • Job assignments may include positions such as crouching, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing up & down ladders, carrying ladders and other equipment.

Requirements:

  • High-School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility with hours.
  • Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Comply with all Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control policies and procedures, as well as Federal and Provincial legislation and regulations.

Assets:

  • BC Pesticide Applicator's License.
  • Fall Protection Training.
  • Knowledge of urban wildlife.
  • Experience working on roofs and in attics.
  • Knowledge of basic home construction
