Northern Strands is currently recruiting to fulfill the role of an **Inside Sales Representative**. **This position is primarily responsible for completing order desk sales, answering customer inquiries, and providing information regarding the organization's goods and services. A friendly professional manner is required for direct in-person sales, as well as phone sales.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Complete customer orders accurately and in a timely manner, while providing the highest level of customer service
- Assist customers by researching requests and working to located exact or similar goods and materials that meet the customers requirements
- Provide quotes to customers and follow-up to ensure orders are filled
- Complete daily expediting reports to track quotes and orders
- Assist the Outside Sales team, when requested, with pricing, placing orders, etc.
- Display professional and courteous attitude to all customers, both internal and external
- Record amounts of material or items received or distributed via tracking system
- Maintain documents, files, and records for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information
- Respond to inquiries of internal staff for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of available goods, deliveries, etc.
- Other related duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- 2+ years experience would be preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge and previous experience using Sage 300 would be considered an asset
- Certificates related to mining or construction would be considered an asset
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
