Part-time Coding Instructor

Zebra Robotics Inc. is a GTA-based coding and robotics educational centre that aims to innovate STEM education through knowledgeable instructors, healthy competition, and a graduated curriculum. We opened in 2014 and to date have taught over 25000 students, winning both provincial and national awards.

In this role

You will be assisting students in learning programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript and design web pages using HTML 5 and CSS3.

You will need to be well versed in one or more the languages listed above.
You are eager to learn and assist in using new programming tools.
Open to learning robotics programming and robot building.

Follow the process and maintain student records.

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in or graduated from an undergraduate Computer Programming/Computer Science/ Computer Engineering program an asset
- Work with school-aged students from Grade 3 to 12.
- Well-versed in HTML, JavaScript, Python and/or Java
- Able to troubleshoot code and assist students with their programs
- Teaching experience a strong asset
- Energetic, fun loving and a team player
- Comfortable communicating with students and parents with ease
- Able to commute between Mississauga and Milton
- Able to work weeknights and Saturdays
- Educational experience a strong asset
- First Aid training an asset
- Comfortable using Windows/PC systems

**Hours**: Tuesday through Friday 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm Weekend programs run from 10:00 pm to 4:00pm on Saturdays.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oakville, ON L6H 1M3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
